S918-Shock-absorbing-expansion-adhesive
The expansion glue is a solvent-free reactive adhesive (sealant) based on synthetic rubber. It can be transported by a high-pressure pump at room temperature, chemically cross-linked at above 140°C, and the cured product has high flexibility. It also has good adhesion to oily steel plates and good anti-sagging properties. It is wash-resistant without pre-gel or pre-curing to prevent the influence of water-based detergents and pre-treatment agents used on automobile production lines.
Uses: Mainly used between inner and outer panels such as hoods, trunk lids, top covers and doors to reduce vibration and noise during driving and improve the comfort of the entire vehicle. The cross-sectional size of the expansion glue is a circle with a diameter of about 8mm, each section is about 60-80mm long, and the interval between sections is about 40mm. Generally, the glue is applied according to the designed glue slot length. Some models are also designed in a dot shape with a diameter of 20-30mm and an interval of about 40mm.
Shock-absorbing glue (mastic sealer) is divided into hard type and soft type. Hard shock-absorbing glue has high strength and rigidity.
Soft shock-absorbing rubber only has the minimum strength and rigidity required.
Both have the same performance in terms of shockproof, dustproof, rustproof and buffering.
