PVC welding glue is mainly used in the welds and overlaps between sheet metal parts and the holes and gaps directly connected inside and outside the car body to ensure the sealing of the car body, prevent harmful substances such as water, air, dust layer and noise from entering the car, and improve the service life of the whole vehicle, enhance reliability and NVH performance.
Coarse sealing: It is mainly used to seal large welds such as the engine compartment, front floor, rear floor, and trunk of the car body. The main function is to prevent water leakage, sound insulation, and noise reduction. The requirements for appearance are relatively low. The glue is mainly squeezed with a round-nosed gun, and then brushed flat with a brush to ensure its sealing.
Fine sealing: It is mainly used to seal the folding welds (visible parts after assembly) of the engine cover, trunk cover, and 4 doors (collectively referred to as four doors and two covers), water troughs, ceiling welds, taillights, tooth edges and other parts. The sealing state of the four doors and two covers after construction is strip-shaped, so it is called a rubber strip. This is also a key process for fine sealing. Because it is directly facing the car buyers, its appearance requirements are particularly strict, requiring uniform thickness, fullness, smooth and neat transitions, and consistent thickness and width. Therefore, the same type of glue gun and fixed pressure are used in the sealing process of these parts, and employees are required to maintain the same speed and strength during operation. Curing performance (135-145)℃×30min or equivalent conditions for complete curing;
Paint film quality: tough and elastic, dense and pore-free;
Tensile strength (Mpa): ≥1.3; Shear strength (Mpa): ≥1.0;
Elongation: ≥100%; Paintability: no obvious difference from the surrounding non-glue parts;
Storage stability: within 30% (3 months);
Over-baking (180℃×30min): tough, no bubbles, no cracks, no serious discoloration;
Salt spray resistance (ATSM B117.35℃,5% salt solution): 1000H
